Adding Licenses IssueView licenses are 'dedicated' licenses. A license is required for each IssueView user. You can purchase additional licenses at any time. Additional licenses are priced at the marginal cost (the best deal for you!). Thus, if you paid $700 for a 5 user license, you can purchase an additional 5 licenses for $500 (the difference between a 5 and 10 user license). If you need to purchase additional licenses, you can do so here. Database Options You can download IssueView with an MS Access database, or Microsoft's Data Engine (MSDE - a free SQL Server runtime). You can use either database with any license. MSDE throttles performance at 8 simultaneous transactsions, and will support dozens of users. If you expect to have a heavier load, you'll need to supply your own Microsoft SQL Server (7.0 or above) . Upgrades and Maintenance releases Bug fixes and maintenance releases are always free. Thus, if you purchased version 4.0, you'll get 4.1, 4.2 etc. for free. When a Major Release (e.g., 4.4 to 5.0) comes out, every one who purchased in the last 6 months gets it for free to! Existing customers, who purchased more than 6 months ago, can upgrade to the next major release for 50% of the current price. Thus, if you purchased the Version 4.x Enterprise Edition for $2,500, now that Version 5.0 is out, you can purchase it for $1,250 (assuming that the price for the Enterprise Edition remains $2,500).
